Updates require that Salon & Spa 8 or iTracRetail 8 is installed on your system prior to the update. To find out which version you currently have installed, choose Help>>About .... The version number appears on the left side of the window and the edition appears in the upper right corner.

Note for users of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 which may interfere with the automatic installation when downloading and running updates.  You may need to open View Downloads from the tools menu and click on run again.

If you intend to upgrade to a Salon & Spa 8or iTracRetail 8 multi-station editions please read the section of the user guide on installing networks.

If you are updating to Salon & Spa version 8.5 for the first time we also suggest that you download and install the user guide update.

What are updates and why are they always free?

Updates to Salon & Spa are to address issues with the system as identified by users or through our testing procedures.  New or improved features are not normally added using a program update but are added with a new release.

Salon & Spa updates can be downloaded from the website and installed manually or or located and installed using the automatic update tools found in the Help Menu in the program.

What are upgrades?

Upgrades to Salon & Spa add new or improved program features as requested by our users. Normally upgrades will include a release number increase.  Watch for Release 9 of Salon & Spa to be released in the near future.

Upgrades are provided free for the first year as part of the support package included with the purchase of a program and are included in the ongoing primary support packages that all users can purchase on an annual basis.

The  Users Guide

The users guide is installed with the program and is available from the help menu. The guide can be used online or printed. The user guide is fully indexed and uses your internet browser so it is very easy to use.
